Um, it's the first day of June.

I'm in jeans and a sweatshirt.

Something's wrong here.

It's 80 degrees here in Columbus.

I've been tempted most of the day to turn my heater on.

Something's wrong here.

I'm pretending it's because I'm tired. Or it could just be A/C and the fact that I STILL don't get to see daylight even though I don't work nights anymore. [Frown]

Mack, this is a weather pattern I refuse to complain about. I love it cool. It was nice to see the sun the other day, though, I must admit. If it could be sunny, and cool like this, all summer, now that would be weather I'd enjoy.

The fruit are falling off the apricot tree from over-ripening, have been for a week.
In all previous years, the first pickable apricots didn't arrive until after the 4th of July.

The almond and other trees are similarly confuzzled.

Just keep hinting, Farmgirl, you never know if somebody in NH just might take some new pretty pictures.

Or some more hiking pictures.

On the bright side, it's already June and we have only had a handful of 100+ days in Las Vegas so far this year. Might be a "cool" summer, which I would love.

I'll take some new pretty spring hiking pictures once the snow has cleared up in the mountains.

Liz, I actually love this weather right now (partly sunny and cool). It just seems odd for June.

There were days in May when it was so cool and crisp that I thought it was fall. I never noticed how much the colors of early spring are similar to those of fall. So I agree, it is weird this yea, and my chile peppers are not going to like it one bit.

(I acutally don't mind the coolness of this year, it's delayed blackfly season)

Last year at our county fair (july in southern IN) we had kids wearing letter jackets, you aren't supposed to wear those in the summer. It was cold, I showed my dog with sweats under my skirt.

It's also delayed mosquito season. Give mid-70s soon though. upper-50s/low-60s is getting to be a bit monotonous (though I love the rain).

We basically had April in [EDIT: Err, May, dangit]!

While blackfly season has been delayed, mud season certainly has made itself known.

I've also noticed Just How White my legs are. They're BLINDING.

The only summer coldness I really remember is when I was either a camper, or working at a summer camp. Then you wore sweats in the morning and at night. And rainy days were really cold.

But that was CAMP.

Well, perhaps the mosquitoes are delayed where you guys are, but not here in Swampland, a.k.a. our yard.
