Hi everyone at Hatrack. Just wanted to officially say "hello". I just joined last night (see the "Sharpie is real" thread).

We've heard a lot about the house project from KarlEd - I trust all is going well?
I am living in a house that desparately needs a makeover (the latest discovery was a window frame completely rotted through - which makes two broken windows for the count) but we can't afford to.
So I read of your transformations very jealously.
Edit: Because it seems I have an issue with names. Even when they are clearly stated on the screen.

Psst! imogen! Sharpie isn't Chris/phoenix. (not that you can't say "welcome" to her in this thread, too.) Sharpie is a long-time mostly-lurker who came up to visit this past weekend.

Welcome, Chris (I was also surprised that Phoenix wasn't already taken as a screenname.) I'm going to consider myself at least partly responsible for you joining Hatrack. At least a little!

Thanks all for making me feel really welcomed. I too am very surprised that the Phoenix name hasen't been taken. I was very lucky to be able to use it. I will explain later y I like to use that name. Right now I have to help Karl next door to start preping his mom's bathroom walls for painting (ugh ).
To answer on how I would like to be addressed; I prefer Phoenix when I chat online and my real name when talking to peeps in person.
