Hello everyone!

Just wanted to drop a quick line and say that I'm safely ensconced here in Tucson with a great place to live and much heat outside. The trip down was rather uneventful, finding a place to live was absurdly easy (thank Zeus), and after buying my books for my Latin class (which starts Monday), I have a lot of reviewing to do before then. We don't have internet up at my apartment yet (I'm at a student union), but I'm really hoping it comes soon. Today was my first time online in about a week!

I will be back in the swing of things soon, which, when translated, actually means "I'll be lurking again soon - just in time for Harry Potter."

Hello, fellow Tucsonans. I had no idea there were any others here. *waves*

And yes, it's hot. But the monsoon will be starting soon and that makes things much better (usually).

Well, I'll have to step in and speak for the Hatrack Phoenicians. It is indeed very hot there. And just a bit hotter than that here.

Did Tucson get to enjoy that 6% humidity yesterday as well?

Pretty hot in Vegas, too, but I usually miss most of it since I spend all day in an air-conditioned office.

Hmmm...more people for the AZ bunch! I guess we'd better have a get-together to meet the new people. I'll be back in Phoenix around the end of August...

Glad to hear that you're settling in okay, Carrie!!! (by the way, the flash card on my camera completely died... no photographic evidence of riding the dino... I was hoping I could salvage the pictures already taken when it stopped responding in the reptile house.)

Enjoy the humidity at 6% is stretching just a bit [Razz] I hate it when the humidity builds just enough to make the swamp cooler not work properly but not enough to turn into the monsoon storms we are waiting for! I work in an air conditioned office by day but by night I dwell in a swamp cooled house. Somedays I want to sleep at the office [Big Grin]

oooooo I am so jealous! Built enough humidity up here to be yucky but not storm... So you were getting all that lightening? That I could see out my window hoping it would move northward.

Yeah, it started a fire in the Santa Ritas. I can see it from my kitchen window.

Hopefully we'll get some more rain soon to put it out.

It's hot in MN too. 90 DEGREES! Gah. I'm dying and I'm sitting under the AC unit.

That's cool, though, Carrie. [Smile] I'm glad you're at your new home.
