I set a weight loss goal about 6 months ago for 240 pounds. At the time I was hovering between 270 and 280. I did a body composition test and found my lowest possible healthy weight was about 220 pounds at 7% body fat. I made my goal about 2 weeks ago. I'm still losing weight (Though not quite as quickly as the last several pounds, which melted off since I started working full time at Walmart). I got a new student ID photo taken and compared it with the old one. It weirded me out to see the side by side comparison. But anyway, now I'm down to the very last hole on my belt. I can take my pants off without unbuttoning them. My shirts are huge on me. I'm almost afraid to try on my suit coat. The XL T-shirts that used to be so tight I could hardly wear them fit perfectly now. This is seriously weirding me out. But I like it [Smile]

When I did Weight Watchers a few years ago, I didn't really notice how much I'd actually shrunk until I realized that my jeans were so loose over my lower stomach that I was constantly checking to make sure I was zipped up. Congratulations on your weight loss...it is an awesome feeling, isn't it? [Smile]

Sweet!

A random little article on BMI in The Ensign (who knew?) told me I need to lose 20 pounds. I was all intending to get right on it, but then I decided - why don't I just go to Japan, ride a bike everywhere, and eat rice for a year and a half? [Wink]

I'm impressed with your fortitude. Dude.

Well, It kinda came in two parts. I went from 280 to 260 just by working out 3-4 times a week. At that point, I stopped being able to lose weight and stayed in that area (fluctuating between 259 and 264 ) for a couple months. After that, I started having a little trouble with Acid Reflux, which decreased my apetite by quite a bit, so I've been mostly eating small amounts throughout the day. That got me down to 254, then I started working full time about a month and a half ago which caused the last 15 pounds to just melt off. I think I've plateaued now, though.

Right now, walk around Walmart for 8 hours a day. Before I got the job I was working out on eliptical trainers for about 40 minutes 3-4 times a week, then started low weight circuit training until I was too tired to keep doing it.

Are you off the Ativan, Boris? If I'm not mistaken, drugs like that one can hinder weight loss efforts (correct me if I'm wrong, docs).

I'm taking a lot less of it now, but still not off it completely. I figure it's probably better to taper it off than just drop it completely.

Heh, yeah. I've already got a huge frame. I don't really need more bulk, just less fat.
