You threw down the gauntlet and I trompled all over it. Check out my numbers!

Tante - now I'm scared. I'm a VFP (very-frequent-poster), and have been here since October. But you just scare me. You're like kq... Posting without any limits. And I pased Verily the Younger befor I reached 1000. I passed - and will pass - Steve (ever since he came here), I passed King of Men several times, but you are scaring me. You'll ware-out your keyboard.

Her posting is nothing compared to when rivka was obliterating all the competition. (I don't think many of you guys were around at that time.) Just look at when that lovely lady registered, and you'll understand what I mean. And Dag too, he's another one.

On second thought Tante, if you keep up at this rate, you'll hit 15K in about the same amount time they did.

Dags' rate has been noticeably above mine for quite some time. He registered October 15, 2003 and has (at last count) 15414. I registered March 17, 2003 (almost exactly 7 months earlier) but only have 15109 posts. Someone more awake than I can compute relative posting rates.
I temporarily passed him at some point, I think when he was offline for two weeks? But that was temporary.

And what about kq? She signed on a MONTH before me - and look at her posts. 7,000 or something. I remember her at 2,000...

I hadn't caught Rivka when we (edit: Eve and I) got married. I was at a different family event when she passed me.

Well, you were away for a while, I know that much. Probably that's the only way it'll happen again, too.

I started becoming concerned about some individuals' possible Internet addictions when I observed them engaging each other in conversation over the Hatrack forum while on laptops in the same room at KamaCon.

Nah. You just married someone you'd never met after falling in love with the quality of his tech support. That's something entirely different. *grin*

Sorry, Dags. I'm sleep-deprived punch-drunk enough that I'm having trouble telling what is or is not over the line. I decided to err on the side of caution.

Do Tom Davidson and Bob_Scopatz still reign in the post count battle? Bob's rate has dramatically decreased, so Tom's probably ahead again, but he's also been here since the Ice Age. You might be able to estimate based on current post rates, when they will surpass TomD...

But post-rates can change. In 18 months kq will probably pass Tom - but what if her rate decreases? The functions have more than one dimension - we're talking parabulas!

Am I still a distant third? Or has someone passed me up?
Both Dag and Rivka will pass me up soon, I think. That makes me feel slightly better about my addiction, considering I registered three years earlier.

I actually calculated when Dags would pass Bob and Tom at one point, if their posting rates all remained constant. I posted it somewhere, but I'm sure I'd never find it. Not to mention that it would have changed by now.

Jonathan, at KQ's current rate she wouldn't pass Tom in 18 months if he stopped posting right now.

As far as I know, Tom has no alts. Neither do I or rivka.
Bob has a few, with low post counts, and kat has at least one with a couple thousand if I recall correctly.
There's a couple of others with several multi-thousand alts, which obscures post counts pretty effectively.

I think we added up all my other alts once, and it was about 1800 additional posts. So, still not 20,000, although it is getting close.

I just now noticed this thread. And I'm ashamed. Of course, I'm in high school while you, as long as you haven't flunked consecutively for a long time, aren't. I have reason. And I was gone for a combined month and a half over the summer. I have reason. Just wait, come Christmas break I'll catch up, father permitting.

It matters not. For I shall conq....oh darn. I'm not on that log in anymore. Anyway, I'll probably not catch up. But it isn't nice to smash one's dreams.
BTW, I'd rather you call me Steve. I don't like broadcasting my name over the internet.
