So my dad went to the library the other day and got some movies, one of them being Six-String Samurai. Has anyone else seen it and what did you think of it?

More specifically, can someone please explain what the heck that movie is trying to say? I get the feeling its trying to get some really deep, possibly interesting point across, and it's just flying right by me. Maybe its that I'm not a musician...? Any help would be appreciated. I just can't get that kid's annoying wail out of my head and I'd like some closure on the matter.

Yep, saw it.

Nope, didn't get it.

Sorry, can't really help you. [Razz] It was odd. Not in a good way, unfortunately. Just... odd.

Perhaps it was the sixth in a series, and if you didn't see the first, Samurai, the second Two-String Samurai, as well as Three-String, Four-String, and Five-String, then Six-String Samurai won't make too much sense.

Because you missed all the exposition.

I saw it, loved it. I believe that the entire point of the movie is to be weird and amuse the people who made it. It's not a Kubrik which is weird to deliver some "deep" message, it's just weird to make the cast and crew giggle.

Ok, that makes me feel better. I have to say, I think I really enjoyed the movie, in a weird, head scratching sort of way. It was just soo ... 'who cares what everyone else thinks, I'm gonna make Death be allergic to water and hell be accessible by sewer grates'. Really, it kind of stands by itself in my limited movie experience. It can't be grouped with any other movie I have ever seen.

Morbid fascination. That's what I'll call it.

That plot summary certainly looks interesting.
