Fahim would love to receive one. He's on a kick with the new Messenger Beta, and while he found a work-around (likely not one I should post here) he'd like the real deal.

So. Anyone? Anyone?

I'm willing to give him one. Not very impressed with it, I'm regretting upgrading. Regardless, ping me his email address, and it will arrive

Hey, you beat me! I was just going to post here that we don't need it anymore - he found some guy somewhere who had a couple and sent 'em over. Thanks, anyway, though.

What about it are you unimpressed with? Are there a lot of bugs?

Hey! I got a lurker to de-lurk! Cool! [Smile]

Umm, its just a bit laggy I suppose. The only bug is that the song titles of "What I'm playing now" seem to be borked, I cant see the artist or album of anybody whos using the feature.

It just irritates me because I had gotten rid of all the adverts on the other version, and now they're everywhere [Frown]

Lurker? I have SIXTY SEVEN POSTS. I care little that you have roughly 90 times the posts while having registered after me, I am no lurker [Razz]

Thanks for the input. I've read it off to Fahim, the, uh, real family geek, and no doubt he'll post something here, too. Or not. [Dont Know] But thanks. [Smile]

[ROFL] Okay, okay, no lurker thee be. Sheesh! Some people are soooo sensitive...

And hey, you posted twice in one day. You're ruining your average. [Razz]

Don't really play songs that much and so that "feature" doesn't really matter much to me [Razz] I actually wanted it for the shared folder feature because Quid and I throw a lot of files back and forth and while it's not too much of a problem to open Explorer (or replacement of choice), browse to the network share (or NAS) and plunk in the file and ask her to get it at her end, it's much more easier if it sits somewhere on MSNM (or WLM as the new TLA goes [Razz] ) and automatically synchronizes when I make a change to the document. It seems to work OK though a bit slow ... haven't seen yet if it auot-synchronizes though ...

I do hate the fact that all file sharing is now on the shared folder feature. That sucks a bit - I wanted WLM to have both one time file transfers and shared folders ... Ah well ...

Yeah, the shared folder feature seemed pretty nifty to me as well, even if I have nobody to test it with.

What do you mean no-one time file transfers? Do you mean the ability to simply send a file to another contact? or something else entirely?

I care not for my average, since I'm not a lurker with a low average to preserve [Razz]

Basically, all your file transfers are either via shared folders or not. There is no middle ground [Razz] If you turn shared folders on, then all your files are sent via shared folders and any changes you do to the document at this end (if you modify the copy in the shared folder - which is another gripe altogether [Razz] ) get synchronized with the other person you're sharing the document with. If you delete the file at this end, it gets deleted at the other end too. If you don't turn shared folders on, then I assume file transfers are done the normal way as per MSNM 7.x ...
