I just found out that I was volunteered to have some Baby Shower games ready for my neice's baby shower at 2pm central today. I have to start packing all the stuff by around noon.
I am a man.
I have not been to, nor played any baby shower games.
Ideas for games that don't include eating babyfood?

Buy a bunch of cheap baby stuff (pacifier, bottle, onesie), put it on a tray. Everyone gets to see it for like 60 seconds, then it goes away. Then you have 60 seconds to write down everything you saw. Do not be neurotic about the difference between a wash cloth and a burp cloth when scoring. You read off everything that was actually there, and then whoever got the most gets a prize.
Matching game: This one requires being clever. Essentially, it is memory. But when you get a match, you get a prize. For example, matching epidural gets you lifesavers.
You can do the babyfood without eating it by numbering the bottles, removing the labels and people have to figure out which flavor it is by look.
If you are expecting a lot of presents, you can make bingo boards with potential gifts (like diapers, clothes, baby shampoo, baby powder, toy, parents favorite sports time baby shirt, mobile, stuffed animal, sheets, etc). If you trust the group, you could tell them to fill out bingo cards themselves with the rule that they not include whatever they brought.
Do not do the how big is she game. You can do this in several ways, but it is always humiliating. I have done how many pieces of toilet paper is she and how many inches in the past.
Another thing, please don't have someone stand up and give a 30 minute talk on motherhood and God. I seriously went to a babyshower that included a speaker. I thought, good excuse to excuse myself to breastfeed my baby and my sister thought, I can't let my sister sit around alone at a party, but I could hear the whole talk and it was painful. Also, the first baby shower were breastfeeding was not allowed (and I had a hooter hider and only women were there).
I am sure there are more, but those are what I can think of right now.

Breastfeeding not allowed?? I can't even wrap my head around that. I mean, I can't imagine it anywhere, much less a baby shower which one would assume to be baby-friendly. Fortunately I have never gotten comments or looks for breastfeeding where I pleased, because I would probably have made an unkind reply. My early months of motherhood were spent in a much more BF-friendly place than America seems to be (UK seems to be in the middle a bit), so I kind of took my cue from that I guess.
Haven't been to enough baby showers to have good game suggestions unfortunately...

Something I did, which was only received well by the nerds at the party, was to have a game based on children's books. I had several quotes that I read, and people had to guess the books they were from. I made it ridiculously easy, too. For example, my quote from Curious George included a mention of a monkey and the Man in the Yellow Hat. I also used Winnie the Pooh, Goodnight Moon, The Giving Tree, and about a dozen others that I thought would be really obvious.
That said, if there aren't plenty of bookish people at this party, please do not use the idea.

Take the letters in the mother and fathers names, and see how many names can be generated by rearranging them.

Well, I guess I wasn't told it was forbidden, but I got several disapproving looks and was told that the other room would be much more comfortable and private and wouldn't I rather be there?

I'm a little stunned that DM is getting stuck doing games at all. Every baby shower I've been to has been entirely women with the exception of the new dad and (only once) maternal grandpa.

scholarette - No, I agree that's pretty much forbidden. People can be so weird.
ETA: I think in that circumstance (wouldn't you be more comfortable elsewhere) I would reply 'No, I would be more comfortable here and not isolated from the conversation*, but if YOU would be more comfortable with me out, I'll just be heading in there now'. You know, just so we're not kidding ourselves whose comfort and well-being we are catering to. Which is not to say that I don't take people's feelings into consideration, because I do/did and have on multiple occasions refrained from feeding or removed us from the room first because I got the vibe that someone wouldn't be comfortable with it. But I wasn't HAPPY about it.
* I really feel like young mothers/parents are isolated enough without ostracizing them from adult company every time the baby needs to eat.

College girl goes off to school 200 miles away and falls in love with the school. She settles down there and has a little girl.
All the family and many friend are still at home. They are sad that they missed a chance to throw a shower.
She comes up with baby to show off to all the friends and family.
All the females in the group call it a Baby Shower.
Wife volunteers to bring punch, spinach dip, and baby shower games. She gets busy, so I had to think of some games.
I took all your suggestions to her, but she already had packed two quick games.
1) Using 4 of Sasha's large stuffed animals, and some fancy cloth place mats we had a Diapering contest. We scored for accuracy, time, but not for creativity. The toga, however, was a favorite.
2) Pass the Passy, where people had pencils in their mouths and passed pacifiers around in a circle. Drop it and you lose.
3) Semi-Touch football.
I ache. I think it is not all from the football.

Sounds like a very virile school.
