Thank you, Keiko. At least my thread was not in vain.
Happy birthday, Mr Card. I'm still waiting for I-Con2(R)!
I wrote you a little, lame sonnet, too:
Today, kind sir, your day of birth has come, And none of us forgot it’s a delight; You shall be praised all day long though the night, Until you drink the pain way with rum. You see, I think that you’re better than some, For you’re a polymath – and at first sight: That’s why we all think that you’re made of might Who studies till all topics end up numb. This day I wish you birthday presents more, For you deserve the most that all can give! You gave us books – we read them to the core, To you I dedicate the game of Civ. Be free and drink your troubles all away, For this, sir, is your ultimate-joy-day!
I know it's not up to your reading standards (not to mention writing), and I can hardly say it is up to mine (and I read much crap), but this is from me to you. I didn't entitle the sonnet, by the way. How about "On Card"?

Just thought I'd stop by here to wish you a happy birthday before I set out for school. So without further ado... Happy birthday!
Thanks for all of the wonderful stories you've shared with us (and hopefully will keep sharing with us).

Happy Birthday, though I admit I did not actually know the date, and I am completely trusting the Original Posters assesment that this is the date. I just got out of Science Fiction class (1st day) and ironic as it is, your compendium of Sci Fi masterpieces is required reading. So in honor of both occasions Ill compose a minor poem.
There comes a time but once a year When men are counted older Where marks of age gradually appear The temperature wanes a bit colder
Where walking seems no longer as grand And running loses appeal Food starts tasting alittle bland- All common things men feel
The candle costs on every cake Start getting quite expensive Fingers hands and arms do quake Arthritis gets extensive
The world, less like the home we knew And People look like strangers Our friends alive appear to be few The only abundance are dangers
You might throw your hip You might get cancer Lose feeling in your lip Forget the right answer Fall down the stairs Lose your eye sight Chemo out your hairs Sustain rabid dog bite You could fall into a coma Turn out red piss Succumb to nematoda If you know what that is
(take a breath and pause)
If my writings gave you a chill And you dont want to live at all I pray although your over the hill I hope your hills' real tall
Yes your more of whiner today More prone to tears of weeping But last of all I'd like to say Theres enough of you worth keeping. -Taylor B
All joking aside I would like to sincerely Thank you so much Mr. Card for living to see another day and blessing all of us with the benefits of your existance. May the strength that has borne you thus far, repeat this task again. Happy Birthday feel free to tell us all how old you are today.

Happy birthday! I hope it goes well- which really means- I hope you're having a better time than just sitting around hoping your fans to remember your birthday.

Happy Birthday OSC! I have to post this amusing birthday poem I found online.
Happy birthday, darling! Even though you're not with me. Right now you're with someone else Temporarily. I know I am the wild cat Who'll get you in the end, Not only your hot lover, but Your best and truest friend.
So have a happy birthday And remember my sweet kiss. It's waiting for you when you turn To me, your fated bliss.
