So what's next in the shadow series? Peter's not in power yet and the muslims are effectively in control of the world, bean is still alive and his embryos are still missing. What do you think is next? (not that anyone can ever predict a book written by OSC)

The next book in the series also known as the "phantom book" will be called Shadow of the Giant. Don't look for the book to be on sale for at least a year if not more. OSC still hasn't even started writing it and has other books in front of it on his priority list.

wow i thought he wrote these sort of continuously. whenever i write i hafto write out the saga's storyline before i start, or else things go on tangents and the point gets lost.
Random Answer: the quote at the end of my posts is a random quote that caught my ear, not necessarily that day, i havn't seen episode II for months. It could be from a Game, Movie, Anime, or even a bumper sticker like "When hell freezes over i'll ski there too". 20 points to whoever can figure it out.

Noooooo! I just finished the whole series in about a week. 1 a day. They're that good. A whole year or more before the next one?! That's like... Torture. I for one think he should make the Bean Series top priority. Might as well finish it. And make all of the other people wait in wonder of their story.
If you think about it, there's 3 left embryo's left. Volescu doesn't have them. So I'm definitely thinking they're back in Amsterdam, Russia or China. China's pretty much out of the picture. The Russian's have power, but not anywhere as close as the Muslims. So that narrows it down to Amsterdam.
Another thought for the future - Achilles had his parter in crime, Vlad, I believe. He's mentioned in the Shadow Puppets book somewhere, and he's a battle schooler who is still working with Achilles. So maybe that means that he is the one that is taking up all of Achilles' dirty work for him and is taking over in power.
Random Thought: MAybe the U.S. gets involved. They've been doing pretty much nothing in the last few books. Maybe they take a large role in the defense of the Hegemon. Wouldn't that be suprising.

It's my opinion that Card is saving the US to be the heroes in the end, the way peter remarks about how the US holds the best press conferences and he'll probably hold them more there. I could be wrong.
Achilles would've sold the embryos to anyone who could afford it, which also includes countless special interest groups. Think about what you could get for a bean embryo on Ebay.... And there's 5 left, 9 origional, 3 were washed down the drain one implanted in petra and 5 that were stored, achilles didn't have ANY of them more than likely, if bean had given him time to talk and he'd been honest he probably would have been storing them as a back-up plan somewhere.
It still bugs me that peter's not even in the top 30 most powerful ppl in the world, when's he become THE hegemon? the one who conquers the world, from the speaker trilogy.
