Interesting, though I am curious about two of the things he said.
The Great War over Slavery Being inevitable. With it not being one country to begin with, the dynamics of this will be very different from how it occured in US History. The North's unwillingness to tolerate the secession of the sourthern states is why Southerners refer to it as "The War of Northern Aggression". Like I said, I'm curious, not necessarily dubious.
Though I am dubious about his statement that 7th sons of 7th sons have no greater healing power than anyone else speaking with confidence, evoking the placebo effect. Certainly the placebo effect is one way of putting it.
Imagine the power of raising a child from birth to have confidence in such a talent. Even adults I know discover they have a talent of working with the body and develop it. But I guess I'm basically in agreement that such power is not "magical" per se.
