Maybe this is just some middle of the night crack pottery. But I was thinking what if Jane's Val body got cancer or something, and Miro wanted her to try to recreate her body the way he had? I thought it would be weird if she came back as a hive queen. The Val body is very serviceable, but it was made for her and then she took it.
Issues this would raise would be I could see Gregor getting freaked about a non human having unlimited access/control to the ansible net. Miro would want Ender/peter to make her a new body, and this would get into the issue of whether it was right for him to make two new bodies when one would die just to make one for her. If it could even be done. Also whether Jane should dump the new queen body just because Miro doesn't like it. I don't mean to get into fan fic, just practicing my idea muscles.

pooka, I think you really don't need to worry about Jane I mean, if Miro could remember his old "image" and recreate himself, how hard do you think would be for Jane to do it to ? I think she could, an any sign of illness, remember how her body as Val was prior to that illness and go back to it in one trip. Immortality... You might want to ask, why wouldn't Miro do the same thing ? Well, because his memory wouldn't be perfect, as would be the case with Jane's. She can always store an updated version of her in a (some) computer(s).
As for what Grego would say... Don't you think she's not human the way she is now ?! Do you think her having another body would make her more or less human ?!
So this is the story: Jane re-re-re-re...recreates her body and lives happily ever after. Unless... (if there's no "unless" where's the fun, I ask you ?!)
