Wow this was better than i thought it would be. I really enjoyed reading this shorty. Even though its not adapted like EG its fast, to the point and runs smoothly. Anyone else really enjoy it?

Enderwillsaveus all, talking about what appers to be Ender's Game, says

I don't understand what you are saing there, EWSUA.
I did like the Ender's Game short story, but I can never bring myself to read it again when I can read the novel instead.

I like the short story from the standpoint of being able to see what transformation the story has taken to get to its current form in the novel. The novel, however, is infinitely better than the original short story.

My inner engineer sees that statement and tries to figure out if the poster meant that the book is infinitely good, or if the short story is infinitely bad.

I enjoyed them both. However, I read Ender's Game (the novel) before coming across the the short story version. The novel is one of the best stories I've ever read, and after seeing what OSC did with that, going back to the original was something of a letdown.
I liked the short story, and had I come across it first, I probably would have enjoyed it more. Even knowing it came earlier, it was difficult not to notice all the gaps that were filled in in the novel.

Ender's Game is one of the clearest examples of OSC's writing maturing. You can compare Songmaster and Worms with later books, but the two EGs are the same story, and it's easier to find new complexities and additions to the underlying ideas.
