I'm just halfway through the first book, but this is an amazing, amazing story. I will try not to mention any spoilers that aren't already in the Bible story.
But what united the fate of the Brothers K was the murder of their father, whereas here we know the pivotal event is going to be their marriage to the same man. Sure their lives will go on after, but I'll be surprised if the story is really as badly truncated as some have suggested.
Of course another aspect of the Brothers K was the typification of human nature reflected in the four personalities of the Characters. I doubt Card set out to do the same thing here. It's just his genius again. P.S. (Okay, I guess it was God's genius in arranging the source material, but... incredible. Another round of OSC induced sleep deprivation )

The psychological richness of this book is just wonderful (I did finish reading it). Again, I don't know if he meant to do this but it has great illustrations of post-Freudian motivational argument.
I feel like that kid at the end of "Life is Beautiful". "It's true! It's all true!"
