I can no longer contain my silence regarding one of your recent articles. Usually, I can readily agree--but this time, No No No!
Altoids are NOT candy posing as breath mints! Have you ever had a peppermint Altoid? They practically burn through my tongue--in fact, they are curiously strong. I find it curious, indeed, that your favorite altoids are the ones that most definitely ARE candy, the tangerines. Try the peppermint ones, and if your tongue survives, I'm sure you'll agree they're more breath mint than candy.
I prefer the cinnamon ones. They also burn my tongue, but are less breath mint (of course) than the peppermints. Oh oh oh! And try the GUM! The tin is SOOOO cute!

Not really. You see, if you shout something out loud, people tend to look in your direction. When people look in your direction, that means you really do exist, and since they are looking at you, that means you're popular, at least for the time they're looking at you (The time after that, when they look down and shake their heads is another story)

Okay, fine. You win. I give in and I'll talk candy. First off, I can't offer my opinion on the current discussion cuz I live in Canada and I don't think that they have those candies here but my favorite candy has always been Nerds. Dunno why, just is. There ya all have it. My fricken opinion! O.^

im afraid im going to have to dissagree with you on this point. altoids are infact candy possing as breathments, however it takes a little bit of habbit before it becomes thatway. you must first get used to the "curiosly strong" flavor of altoids and then they no longer seem strong and they become condy that dissapears way to much (and for some reason have almost no lasting effect on your breath)

Altoids destroy all the odor-causing crap in your mouth, whereas breath mints just cover it up for a long time. Therefore, the reason altoids don't seem to work that long is because your mouth just goes back to normal...

Can you buy Altoids in Canada? Does anyone know? I'd like to know what you guys are arguing about...

Dag, the dissolving strip things are nasty but effective. And, unlike Altoids, and most brands of gum, some of the breath-strip thingies are kosher.

I was referring to the Altoid breath strips. I don't mind some of the breath strips (the flavor, the texture is always terrible), but I don't quite remember which ones they were.

the strips always make my mouth feel... I dunno, mushy? it's weird, and I don't like it, but if you drink some water afterwords it's alright...

The Altoids strips are okay, but they feel just the tiniest bit like a small strip of gauze. That can take some getting used to. Altoids mints I love, but the strips I can take or leave.
The Listerine strips are disgusting. They taste like . . . well, like Listerine.
I absolutely love the Eclipse Flash Strips from Wrigley. I go through those like candy.
