This is probably just a simple mistake, but I would like to know.

In Volume 1 : The Memory of Earth, after Wetchik's family is exiled into the desert, Elemak comes back to Basilica to meet with Gaballufix. After Gabya throws him out, the guards salute him and whatnot, but it reads "Son of Lady Rasa and Wetchik." --- Elemak is the son of Hosni.

Is this just a common mistake that anyone can make, or is it part of the story?

I never noticed that.

Edit: Do you have a page number on that?

On pg. 250 I have
quote:
"Citizen Elemak son of Hosni by the Wetchik. It is an honor to serve you."

MidnightBlue, that is the part, except mine says
quote:
Citizen Elemak son of Lady Rasa by the Wetchik. It is an honor to serve you."
This is, however, a really old copy of the book from my school library. Is yours a new copy? He might have found the error and fixed it.

Is yours hardcover? Maybe they realized the mistake and changed it before the paperbacks were printed?
