Well this is John Abbott College, and we have a very kind hearted systems administrator named debby. She respects us, she wants to put ch burners on every computer in our 4 computer science computer labs.

I feel confused because I think that was a typo. If it wasn't then I feel confused and stupid. And if it was and you realized that and were just joking then I feel like a confused, stupid, idiot.

I share your pain TomDavidson, I'm an IT geek for a K-12 school district, and keeping kids out of where they don't belong is very hard to do. Kids are very clever, and absolutely will think of things that adults would never think of. Good thing I stay in constant contact with my inner child That was a very nice thing you did too!!!

My boys, when in high school, found every way around the firewall they could -- even though I warned them they would have to deal with the consequences if they got caught.
It wasn't really so much that they really wanted outside the firewall -- it was just the challenge it presented -- to see if they could outsmart the IT tech. It is all a big game....

Well that may go a little far. There's not enough money to upgrade all of the computers, so only one lab has its computers upgraded and the older computers thus cycles through. Lab A comps go to Lab B, Lab B to Lab C for example. But ya... I don't think I'm allowed to play games via remote desktop connection... If I get caught things might get messy though...
