Ask him what his favorite civilization is in Civ II.

In Civ 3 I like the greeks cause the hoplite protects me early on.

What I played was Civ II. There were no hoplites.

Besides, I customized it. I eliminated one of the name sets and had a civilization called "Verbs" with a ruler named "Infinitive" and then all the cities were named from this huge list of verbs, beginning with Be and Become and proceeding through all kinds of transitive and intransitive verbs. So that was my favorite civilization, because only near the end of the game, when the world was almost full of cities, did the names start repeating.

And then I would rename them as gerunds (or present participles; like I care which). So the second iteration of the city "Be" would be "Being." And no, there was no comparable town named "Nothingness."

An odd deviation from naming everything "'Your name' is god"

I had never played Civ II so I wasn't sure if you got special units or not. I did play the first one but I was never any good at it because I didn't know how to play. It was about eleven years ago when my dad was addicted to it and I watched.
