I have noticed Mr.Card that you are becoming very active on your forums, but only on the disscusions about yourself. Do you just not like the other part of the forums, or do you only take part in this section?

If I were him I'd be more interested in the discussions about me too! [Big Grin]

Seriously, though, I've noticed that he usually posts in the topics where he can add the most to the discussion; a lot of the threads about him have questions that only he can answer, so it seems fine to me.

This is where people ask questions about my books. I answer them. It raises my totals on this side of the Great Divide.

This is also the place where people say the most offensive things about me and my work and my life. So if I were going to post more in the area more likely to give me a pleasurable reading experience, it would be the other side.

For instance, I can't resist the game Begging the Question.

Not to be meen soundin mr.card, but i see more posotive things about you everyday, i wouldn't know who has said negative things about you, but they obviously don't really see you for who you are with your suggestive critisiscm. [Razz]
And by the way is it ok that i get a little off topic on this part of the forum, cause i mainly want to hear what you say about so i would like the post it here, could this be the about orson card discusion and questions orson would enjoy answering?

But I don't know a writer or artist of any kind who does not notice negatives and remember them about a thousand times more strongly than positives. The negative comments nag at you and you can't let go. It's why a lot of people in the public eye just don't read reviews. I avoid the negatives when I can - when somebody warns me about them - but that's what sticks. I'm not unusual in this. In fact, what's unusual is how LITTLE it bothers me compared to some people I know, who start horrible feuds and write vicious flaming replies. I gave up on THAT before I turned thirty <grin>.
