Most people have constant reminders that they are not, in fact, better or more important than other people, and I think this is a good thing.
Those who find themselves surrounded by people who treat them worshipfully need to run away from those people and seek out the company of the unimpressed.

You got it. And you folks do your job very, very well. Let a fanboy raise his worshipful head, and you slap him down pretty quick. Thanks. I needed that.

Suspect? Why? He complained about Thunderbird's file format and I found a fix for it. It's not free, but it was the first thing I found. Someone in this thread found a free solution.

He complained about Thunderbird in the same column in which he talked about Bradbury. I guess if you didn't read the column it *would* seem like a bizzare addendum, but it wasn't

The writer's and artists that I've personally met generally tend to be a hubristic lot that are easily impressed with themselves. There are certainly exceptions, but they prove the rule.
Insofar as the book "Something Wicked This Way Comes" is better than the movie... well, it's just really hard to pack all the stuff from a novel into a movie, as they're very different mediums. It's hard to put some scenes into pictures. Like how Will Halloway's dad kills the Dust Witch, a scene from the book that's stuck with me that would be nigh-impossible to commit to film without tacky voice-overs.
The movie was pretty good, I remember it fondly, but the book has greater breadth and depth.

The phone book puts the movie "Something Wicked" to shame. Dreadful movie. But the book is wonderful.
