Most people have constant reminders that they are not, in fact, better or more important than other people, and I think this is a good thing.

Suspect? Why? He complained about Thunderbird's file format and I found a fix for it. It's not free, but it was the first thing I found. Someone in this thread found a free solution.

The writer's and artists that I've personally met generally tend to be a hubristic lot that are easily impressed with themselves. There are certainly exceptions, but they prove the rule.
Insofar as the book "Something Wicked This Way Comes" is better than the movie... well, it's just really hard to pack all the stuff from a novel into a movie, as they're very different mediums. It's hard to put some scenes into pictures. Like how Will Halloway's dad kills the Dust Witch, a scene from the book that's stuck with me that would be nigh-impossible to commit to film without tacky voice-overs.
The movie was pretty good, I remember it fondly, but the book has greater breadth and depth.

The phone book puts the movie "Something Wicked" to shame. Dreadful movie. But the book is wonderful.
