Last sunday i arrived in Bermuda. Spending my time when im not at the beach or swimming or eating reading Xenocide, forcing myself to finish sucha great book. So i was kind of angry, thinking what am i going to read on the plane ride home (being that im about 50 pages till the end and i still have 3 more days here) and then while going into town (hamilton for those who've been here) and i came upon the bookshop. I was glad to see a Sci-Fi section of the store. Then looking i found Enders Game, that was nice, to see Orson's Work spreading, then as i dug more, Children of the Mind! 10 bucks here, 7 in america so i didn't really mind. I was just so glad to see it, and now i have something to read on the 5 hour drive to Scout Camp. It was just good to see Orson's writing outside of America.

But what no one has warned you about is that Children of the Mind is the most boring book ever written, except of course for everything by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Man you really hate the Scarlet Letter don't you? You wouldn't hate it so much if you didn't read it and just picked up and Cliff Notes or Spark Notes like every other student in America did.

Alright, is it too much to ask for the author to stop dissing his own work? CotM is my favorite Ender book, dammit!

cotm is the only book I've ever read where Samoans are mentioned. I loved it for that alone.

Hmm . . . now I feel the need to read COTM again and see how it stacks up. It's the only one in the series I've only read once, but that's not a function of its quality but of it's being last.
