Orson Scott Card is by far the best author I have ever read. I'm not even a fan of science-fiction yet I loved the Ender's Series. The Women of Genesis series has definitely been my favorite though I was seriously dissapointed with the last book, Rachel and Leah, especially after counting down the days unti its release. Something just didn't seem right, like his heart or attention was not fully into it. Sarah and Rebekah were completely riveting and it amazed me that he could write from a woman's point of view completely believably. Perhaps it was just the setup of the book, written from so many viewpoints, that it lost something, that you couldn't connect with the characters. With the other books I loved them even with all their faults but Leah seems so unlikable and the others not much better. Maybe I should re-read it but I was just wondering if anyone else felt similarly about this book.

All of the books show the women growing into better people as they move through life. Maybe part of why you disliked this one is that it only showed the first section of their lives, so they haven't had as much time to grow.

i found that i liked the characters and connected with them much better due to their faults. it made them seem more human. and the different viewpoints added more depth to the situations, by showing how differently people from a seemingly similar background can view and situation. sorry Bindi, in my opinion, Rachel and Leah was the better of the three (all three being excellent).

I liked this book as much as the others, maybe more It reminded me a bit of the homecoming series, but perhaps just because I read that last month.
