Since I was discovered Ender's Game sixteeen years ago, I've been a fan of OSC. Many times during these years I've wished I could get to know Mr. Card. I don't like to say that things are impossible but, living in Barcelona (Spain), the possibility of meeting OSC naturally fell in my nearly-impossible-things category. But see, I was (partially) wrong and last night I dreamed I met Mr. Card.
You know how these dream things go: all of a sudden I'm telling my fiancee (btw I'm getting married this saturday!!!), "hey, pack you're things, we're going to meet OSC!". The next thing I know we're in Greeensboro (well, supposed-to-be-Greensboro, i've never even seen a postcard of the real place), knocking on the Card's family door. Let me say the time we had there was maravellous and we enjoyed very much the company of OSC and his wife. They both were very friendly and the meal was great! OSC patiently answered all my questions (at least that's how i remember it).
Everything was perfect except for the one little detail: it didn't really happen at all. Or it did?
Thanks for everything, Mr. Card.

That is so much like when Bean went and met Enders Parents, good dream, someday you may cross paths by his travels or yours. I myself feel the same and since he never goes to western Canada anymore I'll have to visit sometime when I'm in the states, which sadly wont be until im done my education in a few years.

I had a firefly dream last night. I can't remember how much of it I've forgotten. If I hadn't read your post, I probably would have entirely forgotten about it. I don't even know if I was awake or asleep when I thought "I can't wait to post about this cool dream!"
Capt. Mal figured prominently in the dream, and also a large glowing orange rectangle. Possibly it was a container of molten metal. I think I might have been Inarra, but I'm a little fuzzy on that.

I'd call the cops if some strange person showed up at my door. Even if I was famous. 'Cause, you know, if I was famous, I'd most certainly be unlisted.

Hubby's going to be in Greensboro over a weekend in January (I'm going with him if I can swing it), during which time we'll probably want to go to church. I told him we ought to figure out which ward OSC's in and go to that one.
Hubby thinks it's crazy. I told him it's not like we're travelling for hours just to stalk our favorite writer ... but if we're going to be attending a Mormon church in Greensboro, and we have to arbitrarily pick one ... why not?
I wonder how often that happens?
