Yes. There will be at least one more. I've heard it titled "Shadows in Flight". It will tie up the loose ends in the Shadow series, and may end up linking the two storylines.
There's been a lot of threads about this, so I was about to chastise you, but I tried searching for it and didn't get anything. It's also not listed in the Works in Progress section of the bibliography.
Maybe someone should do something about that...

What, you mean he didn't end up naming it "The Publishers Want Me To Put 'Ender' In The Title So You All Will Buy It"? I thought that was the best suggestion all thread...

Wait, Wait... I've got it... Wait... Are we writing about the book that might be titled… Wait, I’ve got it…
How about - 'Ender finally lives his life without a googolplex of us reading about him and all of us who want to know more are left to our own imaginations'?
Yup, that's an excellent title. ; )
edit: sorry about the capitalization

I thought Christmas in Battle School was on the back burners until Ender in Exile/Shadows in Flight/Ender's Game the Movie/Empire/Alvin Maker are finished. But I could be wrong.
Also, I want the movie to be title Ender's Game the Movie. "the Movie" should be part of the actual title.

So.... now that Empire is nearly out will he start working on Ender and Alvin?
And I thought Christmas @ Battle School was coming out the holiday season of 2006. If the Ender's Game movie isn't coming out until 2008 as imdb says then perhaps CaBS will be out sooner?

Sorry I am kind of ignorant about this but is there really going to be a "Christmas at battle School" Book?

Question... I thought in EG there was sort of a hush factor about god-like stuff. Wasn't that why Alai's 'salaam' was sort of a whisper-type thing?
If I'm my memory serves me on that one, how is there Christmas?

Do you mean that some kids/teachers buck the system and go for celebrating anyway or that the book itself is a pipe-dream or something else that I'm not thinking of?

I meant maybe it was going to talk about how a lot of kids aren't celebrating it and the ones who are have to do it in secret and it'll be all sweet and dopey. Except I just realized that that's stupid, so probably not. Although the secrecy of religious expression will probably be important to it, anyway. (Your post brought images of Bean standing up on the table in the mess: "They won't let us celebrate Christmas! But you know what? We should do it anyway! Because we shouldn't let the teachers stop us from doing something that'll keep our morale up, and if we stop celebrating Christmas, the Buggers will win!" Snort. Yeah, right. Like Bean would celebrate Christmas. But it's funny to imagine him giving another tabletop speech over something a little less...life-threatening than his real ones.)

Hey... easy on yourself - not stupid - just maybe not OSC (at least what i've read). : )
Heh... I got 1/2 way through your post and thought to myself 'what DID bean think of christmas? since it certainly wouldn't be about trees and gifts... but he did get some help from the church so who knows??'... : )

Thanks for the info, Papa Moose. I hadn't really read much about it from past posts (well, how about i had read zero about it), just the threads I'd been in.

OSC himself has said that it will be just the opposite of a sweet, happy Christmas tale.

That was what I meant by "Except I just realized that that's stupid." Mr. Card wouldn't write something like that. I wouldn't read something like that, most days. It's soft and sweet and dopey and happy and that's just not the kind of story he would write unless he was using a ghostwriter.

Nah, it should be an RPG. And then if/when someone decides it would be cool to make a movie (probably home video or perhaps flash animation) based on that game, it would be Ender's Game the Movie: The Game Movie.
