So I might have completely overlooked this information somewhere on the site, but I was wondering if OSC is planning another book to finish up the Women of Genesis series. My mom listened to it on tape where OSC said that he wants to write more about Jacob and his children. She loved the other books and wanted to know if there is or will be more. Just wondering. Any info would be great! Thanks...

He said he planned on breaking Racheal and Leah up into two or three books, since there was so much to talk about. However, I haven't heard anything new about them in a while. I'm sure he intends to write more some day. I just hope it's in the next couple of decades. :-) He has so much he wants to write, and so little time. Maybe one of his children will show some literary brilliance and pick up where he leaves off, if trajedy should strike.

I have an elderly neighbor, who enjoyed all the "Women of Genesis" in "Books for the Blind" format. I had suggested them to her and she has assumed that I am an acquaintance of his.

Everytime I have spoken to her in the last year, she has asked that I tell Mr. Card, that she doesn't have much longer to live and that she would really appreciate his finishing Racheal and Leah before she dies.

I hadn't heard the "or three" before. I guess more is better. It's just a bummer to wait. Though there's always the source material.

The other two will be called (whenever they are written):

The Wives of Israel
The Sons of Rachel

Oh, Good God. He can't be responsible for that.

Responsible for what? I was relating an ancdote that shows interest and enthusiasm for an ongoing work of fiction. Their is no inference of responsibility for the age or physical condition of the fan. However, there would be some responsitility, on the part of the author, for the release date of the work in question.

Artemisia, I understood the enthusiam of your neighbor's statement. I think it's great that you gave her something to look forward to. In fact, I feel just like her every time I finish reading one of his books. I HATE waiting for the next 'fix.' heh
