If I'm not mistaken, this isn't the first time OSC has commented on the unpleasantness that is AOL's software. My advice, for whoever can pass it along to him and to whoever else cares, is this: uninstall all vestiges of AOL and use www.aol.com for email. I use an AOL email because of the trouble of changing, and haven't had AOL installed in many years, and my system stays less clogged for it.
