I finally finished Empire. It took me forever to get to it and get it read, but I inhaled it in a couple of days.
The thing that made me curious was Malick's youngest son named John-Paul. The world created seeming similar to the state of the world in Ender's Game prior to the time of the first invasion. Now little John-Paul couldn't be Ender's dad, but Ender's Grandfather/Great Grandfather? I'm sure that OSC just used the name for whatever reason, but reading the novel I couldn't help but wonder if he did that because Empire and Ender's Game will have a connection.
Am I crazy? Did anyone else see it. I have been off of the forums for a while, so if this idea has already been discussed, then I missed it.

Since Empire was created for a video game, I highly doubt it was anything more than throwing us a bone in the form of a meaningless name.
