So, I was rereading the Homecoming series again, and I'm sorta happy that I have new insight after reading A Clockwork Orange.
(potential spoilers, but not really...)

Are the tolchocks in Memory of Earth/Call of Earth a reference to tolchocks (as in a strike/blow) from A Clockwork Orange? I'm thinking that it's too much of a similarity not to be...but I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Tolchok is just the Russian word for pushing or jabbing. (толчок)

Ohhh..ok. So I guess it's more of a language similarity then, since nadsat's also based on russian. Thanks.
