I've read Shadow Puppets several times and I keep missing the answer to this question--Who sent Peter the email informing him of Achilles whereabouts in China so Peter could rescue him? We all assume its Hot Soup but in the middle of the novel Hot Soup sends Bean the "He thinks I told him (Peter) where Caligula (Achilles) would be but I did not" message. So who is the source of the message to Peter? Bean says to Petra on page 140 of my hardback edition "So of course we know who the source was". Well, I don't know! I hope someone can tell me. Its driving me crazy!

To get into the Hegemony compound, Achilles orchestrated both his arrest and his rescue. So he is the source. He may have sent the message himself or may have used a proxy. We don't really know much about his network, so if it was a proxy, it's not someone ever mentioned by name, I think.
