Alright. We'll try this again.

Attention Tucson and Phoenix Hatrackers.

There WILL be a Hatracker picnic in Tucson in the near future. Currently attending are myself and Sarfa.

The dates being looked at, which are very flexible, are August 11th, 12th, 16th, and 17th. If anyone else absolutely cannot make it until the week after that, negotiations can begin.

Post here if you're interesting and able to show up and let me know. Or E-Mail me my profile address with Hatrack in the title.

Thank you,

Feyd Baron, DoC

EDIT: Yeah, that was supposed to be "intrested and able, but oh well. I like interesting.

Slacker, absolutely. Likely, it'll be at Bison Witches (dang good sandwich place) unless too many people volunteer.

Celia, that sounds like a personal issue.

I'd probably be up for coming (but it would depend on what time of day on which day) from faraway Phoenix/Chandler. It'll be more fun if slacker can come with me so I don't have to come all by my little lonesome....

I'm definately interesting....just ask slacker! [Wink]

ludosti, the proposed time is lunchish (nothing more specific so far). That should be late enough for you to drive down without having to wake up at an ugodly early hour.

Perhaps we should meet up somewhere right before going to lunch, it may be easier that way. I volunteer my apartment, but if there are any other Hatrack Tucsonians that would rather use their place as a meeting point, I would be fine with that too.

Well, since I'm a normal person who has to go to work during the week *sigh*, the 11th or 12th wouldn't work for me. The 16th would be great (but slacker couldn't come, since he works till 12:30).

Church is at 1....

You guys should go ahead and pick the date that works best for you (since you're all in that area). If it happens to be the 16th, I'll try to be there. [Smile]

so far, it seems that the "you all" consists only of Feyd Baron and myself, so if we can increase our attendence by 50%, then I'm all for the 16th.

You'll have to give me good directions (and someones phone number I can call if I get lost) since I think I've been to Tucson twice (and wasn't driving either time). [Big Grin]

Sweet. I'm actually in a somewhat dire need to talk to you ludosti. This would work nicely if you could make it.

I don't have any issues with a very late lunch on the 16th, say 3ish. Almost a Dunch or Linner. That way you could come out of the assuredly cooler tempuratured north (not) with slacker. Any problems with that? You could probably make it back to Phoenix for the night life.

I've sent an E-mail to another 'racker I heard from the first official time I tried this.

Also, I just suggested Lunch / sandwiches on a whim. Nothing wrong with just coffee or dinner either.

Feyd Baron, DoC

EDIT: Me fail English? That's unpossible.

Heh... If we go to the place I'm thinking of, I'll be giving directions likely. Slightly scary getting directions from a Texan on how to get around Tucson. Though I'm sure Sarfa knows the general area.

well, I was thinking meeting at my apartment first might be better than at a restaurant, that way, if someone is late and/or lost it will be easier to give directions to on the fly. Since there doesn't seem to be that many of us, meeting at the restaurant would probably be fine too, if you guys prefer that.

And eating later is fine by me, since that means another person along.

Hmm. If it wasn't so dang hot, I'd recommend meeting at my parents house and having a BBQ. I know I could talk them out of the lower deck. Perhaps next time...

Yeah, meeting at your apartment isn't a horrible idea. Particularly since I don't have a cell phone to help with lost people.

Later would be cool. That way I can bring my driver (slacker [Kiss] ) and come in a car that goes faster (I drive a 10 year old pick-up, he drives a 2000 Civic). [Wink]

I'm up for where/whatever - just tell me where I'm going and I'm cool.

I'm actually kind of excited about an AZ Hatrack get-together. So far, I've never met any other Jatraqueros (other than ones I knew before I knew them as Jatraquueros). [Party]

Same here Ludosti (in terms of never having met any other 'rackers.)

Not only that, it's a vetran's gathering so far. Highest member number so faris slacker's at 2559.

So the 16th at say 3-ish is the current plan?

now that my quals are (thankfully) over, I can start e-mailing directions to my apartment. I'm just going to use the addresses in your member profiles, so if you would rather me use another, e-mail me (using the e-mail address in my member profile).

TwosonPaula, your member profile does not have an e-mail address listed in it, so if you want to come, you'll have to e-mail so I can send you directions to my apartment.

Wendy, if you don't hear from Sarfa soon, E-Mail me and I'll see what I can do about giving you directions to his place. I'm pretty sure I could, but his directions would certainly be more reliable.
