...for my feelings. They just got on the bus to go to school without me and didn't even cry or anything. They didn't even look back and wave! [Mad]

[Big Grin] For those of you who don't know, I'm a happily married mother of two. My son is in first grade this year and my daughter is in kindergarten.

I know there have been similar threads recently, but I haven't even been able to read them. As soon as I figured out what those threads were about I had to leave them, not because I didn't care but because... [Cry]

So, I'm sitting here typing, bawling hysterically. To every parent out there at this time of year: [Group Hug]

I know this is a hard time for parents, but your kids are going to love school. And just wait....in a few summers you'll be praying for this day to come! (my mother has told me that many times) [Wink] [Group Hug]

Yeah, just wait til they move out. My mom was so sad when my older brother left. Then after about a week she thought, "Man, it sure is nice and quiet around here. Nobody coming and going at all hours of the night. Nobody missing dinner without warning, or playing loud electric instruments." (My baby brother and I were gone to college.) After about a week she decided this whole empty nest thing had been given a totally incorrect spin. By the time it was my turn to move out, she was like, "Cool! Can I help you pack?"

My little brother she even helped along by saying to him as he was leaving one Saturday, "Mike, where are you going?"

He said, "to the lake with Danny."

She said, "No, you're not!"

"I'm not?"

"Nope, you're going to look for an apartment."

"Ah.... okay."

[Smile]
