I subscribe to Newsweek, The Progressive, and my school's magazine, but I also frequently read The Beloit Fiction Journal, Time, and whatever else catches my eye at the supermarket.

I have a pitifully small magazine collection. I personally get Horse and Rider and Horse Illustrated. I'd like to have Equus, too, for a really good overview of the industry, but I keep forgetting aobut it.
I usually read National Geographic and Discover all of the way through every month when I'm home.
I have nothing that helps me write, either by reading what's new, or actual articles on writing. Maybe once I'm in one place for more than nine months at a time, I'll get a few.

Discover. I enjoy keeping up with science news, and it's a lot easier to read than Science. Maybe when I get my degree I'll understand some of the papers.

I don't currently read any magazines on a regular basis. This is because I can't afford to buy them and my local library doesn't subscribe to anything good anymore.
I really miss Omni, though.

My Grandma's been paying for my Reader's Digest subscription for a few years now. I also enjoy Bead and Button because I'm into jewlery-making.

Analog Asimov's Science Fiction
The Journal of the American Medical Association The New England Journal of Medicine American Family Physician The Female Patient Consultant Cortlandt Forum
I get some other magazines too that aren't worth naming.

If you're at all interested in current events or international relations, I would highly recommend The Economist. It's a British newsmagazine like Newsweek or U.S. News & World Report except that it's better than those two in almost every way. The commentary is sharp and often witty, and it has very penetrating analysis.
I hate economics, but the magazine (or newspaper, as it calls itself) is only slighly about business issues. It addresses all sorts of current events, from politics to science to literature.
It's also the only magazine (or any medium, really) that I've ever seen the CIA advertise in.

My dad gets this and I read it sometimes. It's a good overview of pretty much anything happening in the world at the time.

Dang. There's a magazine for *everything*. That's so cool. I once took a call at work from a reporter for the magazine for cafeteria/hospitality workers who work in dorms and at university hospitality centers. ----
I read New Yorker hand-me-downs from my grandparents and anything I can scavange on BART. Oh yeah, and whenever we visit this one couple, I always read their Cook's Illustrated. That's a great mag.

I've been debating about The New Yorker and Harper's Bazaar. The New Yorker lost out to the Atlantic Monthly because TNY has abysmal fiction and TAM's fiction is usually cool. They get Garrison Keiler! Harper's Bazaar I am debating, but I might be fooling myself that I will read both it and TAM. So, until that subscription runs out. *lifts milk glass*

I can't afford any magazines, but our library has a decent selection. When I've been exceptionally good or need a break, I go sit there in the big leather chair and read all the magazines.

Harper's (still get it, but don't intend to renew my subscription) Discover (really went downhill when the guy who ran Sports Illustrated took over) Atlantic Monthly (it's okay, but only rarely does it have a piece that really grabs my attention)
