All my school bills are paid off and my books are bought due to the largess of a relative of my former employer.
And we've already had a baptism at church. I got used to that happening at Harding all the time--it was a church school. But at Murray we don't see nearly so much of that.

That's awesome!! Especially the part about having everything paid for. What a blessing. I hope you have a blast this semester.

I didn't realize how shallow my first post sounded until I read it. I promise I forgot about the second part of your post. A baptism is WAY cool too.

Not to rip on the whole baptism deal, but what'd really be cool is a human sacrifice. Or at least an exorcism.

Lalo, I'm sure there are some charismatic churches around here that perform exorcisms pretty regularly. I don't think we do that sort of thing.
As for the human sacrifices...well, I can check with the Student Pagan Organization and see if they can arrange one, but I don't think that's the kind of paganism they're interested in.

Heck, we do human sacrifice in church all the time.
Of course, it's a living sacrifice, not the kind where you kill people. It's much easier to get volunteers that way, and I suspect God finds it more useful as well.

Lissa, they're not HUMAN sacrifices. . . I microwave a peep every week or so just so you know someone still loves ya. I'm there for ya, woman. ^_~

Yeah, Peep Sacrifices! Ya gotta get into it, with the red food coloring for dripping blood, the Twizzler laces for nooses, jello for drowned Peeps... I keep a supply of deli swords on hand for when I'm feeling particularly sadistic.

Martha, you are truly warped. . . . We should be friends!
And what's this about Macc's dislike of the chub? Some of my favorite things in life are chubby: puppies, peeps and my favorite pillow, to name a few. . .
