The version that I saw was called Light Years, which is the title it was released under in the US. But the real French title is, apparently, Gandahar. In the second part of the movie there are a bunch of mutants who find the idea of the present terrifying (if I remember right, it's been a long time since I've seen it) so instead of saying "is" they always say "was will be." As in, "What was will be your name?"
