Is anyone else reading this? I think it's really quite good. Written by Kurt Busiek, the story is set in an alternate universe on the brink of WW I. Gunpowder and combustion do not work, but magic does.
If you haven't seen it, you can check out the online preview here.

Sounds good Storm, but no I am not reading it. To cut down the amount of money I spent on books I became a member of the library. I am afraid it will take years before they ever get this book, if ever... But it sounds like a book my husband would like, so maybe I'll buy it for his birthday .

ginette: request the book. Most libraries have a request form, and if you can get even one other person to fill it out for that book the library is extremely likely to get it. Get four other people and it's a sure thing. Libraries get astonishingly few suggestions, and when they get several for one book they get the book, generally.

He thanks fugu, that's really a good idea. I remember they told me I could do suggestions, so I'll give it a try.

Ginette, since it's still coming out as a regular comic book and has, I think, three more installments left, you probably won't be able to get it until the graphic novel comes out in at least 4 or 5 months.
