Just a bit of self aggrandizement here. I took a sunrise picture last Saturday. I sent it to a local tv station and they are using it as the weather photo tonight. You should have seen me scrambling to call my friends and relation in the area.

Well I just looked and it isn't posted on the website for that channel. They did show it on the 6:00 news but don't have it up on the site. If someone can tell me a quick and dirty way to send it somewhere so everyone could see it I'm all ears.

punwit, are you one of those people who always call the station with the amount of rainfall in their area? I've always wondered where they come from and why they do it...it's like looking into the mind of a serial killer.

They finally got it up. It is quite small but here is the link. Scroll down and look for the picture from Darren Underwood (me).

Lol no space opera I don't do that. This is my first interaction with a weather station. I just liked this sunrise pic and sent it in. I was surprised that they used it so soon. I will say tho that if money were no object and I was single that I would love to be a storm chaser.

I finally figured out how to upload some pictures so that I could share them. Here is the link to a full shot. Dial-up users beware, large file.

I uploaded it to a yahoo briefcase folder. I just redid the link. Let me know if it works now.

I guess I don't know how the other two folks accessed the photo unless they are yahoo users.

I can't see it. It says the server "bcvrf.yahoo.com" could not be found. If you mail it to me (antisuji at gmail dot com) I'll mirror it on my site for a few days. Posts: 1810 | Registered: Jan 1999

I actually started to clone out the lines but after 30 minutes I had only progressed about 1/25th of the distance and gave up. Plus you could see where I had cloned, not good.

nifty - I couldn't see it too terribly well. I'll be happy to host up to an 800x600 if you'd like. Sunset pics are great. The hubby is an avid photographer. I use his work as backgrounds on my home and work systems. Here's what I'm using now - it's our baby, SweetPea.

Punwit, Mike and Mack can probably tell you about how to best get your photos web-ready, as far as re-sizing and dpi.
Personally, I use Photoshop, but I know not everyone has that.
I notice on Mack's MadOwl site, where she posts all her photos, she also has them inter-lace in, (kind of come in in layers, so it loads faster.) Not sure which program she is using to make them do that.
