Okay, so I've already determined that no one on this forum knows or cares about Static-X. But I don't care! I'm going to see them next week and I don't have to drive to Phoenix to do it! YAY!

[The Wave]

I need a happy dance smilie!

Perhaps you could tell us about Static-X, then maybe some of us will display an interest to it (like me for example - I have no idea who they are... [Razz] )

Ooh, I was hoping for this invitation! [Big Grin]

Static-X is a pretty heavy band. I've decided that the reason no one on this forum cares about them is because the majority of the people here are "intellectuals" and prefer music that "makes a point", as it were. They make absolutely no point except that they rock.

I myself am an intellectual but I really don't care if my music does anything except sound neat or different. For example, I thoroughly enjoy the Monkees. I've really never met anyone with such an eclectic taste as myself. (But I bet some people around here probably have me beat.)

Here's the website . It takes a while to load, and I really don't think that the quality of music that plays when it opens is very good. But if you like music that makes your eyeballs wobble, these are the guys for you. (The only thing that bugs me is that they've started "crooning" on this newest album. I really think the best one was the first one, although the second one was pretty good, too.)

Sheesh, they rock so hard...but you really gotta see them live.

I can't wait!

And, once again, I'm reminded of pH's complete and utter absence.
