A good friend of mine is going to school in Canada and reciently anounced that he will be coming back for a visit as he has vacation to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving. I didn't know that there was a Thanksgiving in Canada and I'm curious; what is the story behind it?

Do any countries other than the US and Canada have a Thanksgiving holiday?
