Thanks.
I just checked out Izzard's hompage: eddieizzard.com. He'll be a young Doctor again.

I LOVE Eddie Izzard. He's so incredibly funny, and he's just...awesome. ::goes to watch Dress to Kill again::

I'm really not familiar with him. What would I know him from? I saw that he was referred to as a comedian. What's his material like?

His material is really funny. I can't think of any way to describe it other than that. He's been in several movies and he is a guest on talk shows occassionally (such as conan o'brien). Here's his imdb page: eddie izzard.

You know, I know his name, I've seen some of those movies, and I frequently watch Conan, but I just don't recongnize his face. I'll have to rent some of his stuff.

I'm a little worried about the wardrobe choices, though.

I just keep picturing Tom Baker in his old outfit, but in 7-inch spike heels and silk stockings. That's just not a pretty image at all.

yeah, just wait until you see how he dresses his companions!

man, i know this was just tom baker joking with the press, but i'd totally dig the role choice.
