I wanted to share this for a couple of reasons.
First, over the past few days my ratio of serious to fluff posts has gotten way out of whack and some balance needs to be restored.

Secondly, as has been noted before, many of us spend time on Hatrack during work hours? What would we do without Hatrack and the rest of the internet during work hours.

Here it is. Our worst nightmare.

48-hour Internet Outage Plunges Nation Into Productivity.

Hmmm. Between West Wing, season openers for Smallville and Angel, I'll probably be offline the rest of the night.

Guess I'll have to catch up with y'all at work. [Big Grin]

serious to fluff ratio? Seriously, what is it normally, and how do you feel it has skewed? Seriously? (now I can chalk this up to my serious post count [Big Grin] ) I think I'll do a landmark when that gets to 10.

That was good. [Smile] It's so ridiculously true though, it's not even funny!

pookah,

(I'm at work now, so I have time to write!)

I like my posts skewed heavily to the side of fluff, discussing things like balding patterns, Doctor Who, and why your pillow is significantly heavier after 2 years of use than it was when you bought it. (you probably don't want to know the answer to that last one.)

I let myself get seduced by the serious side of the force this week. I'll be more cautious from now on. [Smile]

I did this last week (no internet), and it was so true. I work at home, and there was nothing left undone. Even the house and kids were immaculate. Now I know how our ancestors did it...they didn't have anything better to do.
