I know that i am repeating myself and some of the more wideread of you may have already seen this but it's a long night and for some reason i feel the need to qoute myself. Perhaps for ego's sake.

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I recently came to an odd conclusion lately. I've been writing here, across the river and on VBS for about three years now and yet i don't really know anyone in the sense that many of you know each other. I stumbled on the pictures site and realised that while many of you US Hatrackers and VBSers have met each other and have been to many conventions etc; i in the UK am quite detatched from it all. I doubt any of you even know what i look like, or if many of those i first met are still here and those new know who i am. That's it i guess; i don't think it's wrong to feel a little jealous every once in a while.

Many of the relationships fostered have sprang from instant messaging programs, Proteus. If you have AIM or MSN or ICQ (etc...) it becomes a lot easier to 'get to know' people using real-time.

Of course, you could always send your pic to me at hatrack@foobonic.com.

And three of your hottest British male friends.

(And their phone numbers.)

Have to go to work in a few minutes. I was only taking care of some foobonic stuff before I took off. But I still miss you guys.

Open invitation, folks.

AIM chatroom, 'hatrack chat.'

We're discussing people with gender issues right now. . .

PS: if you really want to get to know Jatraqueros, chat is a nice place to pretend you can.

Doh, until i get home at random intervals my AIM is a no-go world. Though MSN seems to be on the University cards. As for my pic there's some of me spread all over the net just not at yours or Hobbes' spot. The best place would be my LJ, checking my Profile or going to:

http://www.livejournal.com/users/el_sparko

...would be a start.

Mr. Funny:
No AIM required! (Well, a username I guess. But that's free to register.) Invite yourself to "Hatrack Chat" on AIM express and you'll get in fine. I just tested this, so I know it works.

I miss AIM.

I get more done at work. I don't have the internet at home (on purpose), but the one reason I want it is for AIM. This is so depressing.

*sad* I hate this. What are my options? A Blackberry? Can you do AIM on a BlackberrY?

*joins Proteus in envy and sadness*

kat, you can't do AIM at work because you're not allowed to download anything, right? Have you tried AIM Express? (link's above, in Nato's post)

*Celebrates as he goes home at the weekend and for a limited time gets to play with AIM... until returning to his 'away' house*

*Notices Katharina joined in the glorious spring of March 2000 too and wonders the dramatic comparison between 8954 posts to 128*

Am i too quiet?

AIM will not mutate into AOL, I promise [Smile]

And Proteus, you can always use Ralphie's Siren Call thread to lure people into Parachat. Hope to see you soon in Hatchat! ^^
