After reading some of the stuff about the non-brain dead people, I almost wonder if I should be spelling it out in the air. I feel like I've re-emerged into life.
Yeah I went a week+ without hatrack. And survived. I talked to a few of you on IM. But being at the computer had this tendency to give me headaches the first couple of days after the tonsils came out, so I didn't do much other than check e-mail. I slept a lot and really didn't get my energy back for over a week.
As far as the tonsil surgery, it wasn't that bad. It was the recovery that got nasty at times. I've lost 12-14 lbs because I've been unable to eat substantial solid foods. If the pain of eating is worse than your stomach complaining you don't eat. I needed to lose the weight but wasn't expecting the surgery to affect me so drastically.
I would love a juicy steak or some Pringles, but can't deal with eating either yet. Pasta is ok because it slides down the throat nicely and isn't difficult to chew. I may have some TMJ spraining from them clamping my mouth open during the surgery so chewing hurts a bit.
But I'm back at work and have my drinkable Campbell's soup.
I've missed you guys. I'm trying to update myself on the current threads so that I can make semi-useful contributions again.
