take a hat rack, but its not just the hat rack, you take like a fishermans hat, and maybe a ball cap, or some other kinda beany. then you take a picture of it and all of the suddenly you have a hatrack with hats on it...do you see the symbolism here? cause if you dont im layin it on prreeeeety thick. any way get some money together and put the image onto some shirts and poof!

Well, actually we could each make one for our own personal selves, but any form of distribution would be legally iffy.

Do you think it'd be possible to fit about 5,000 different hats on that rack? Seriously though, there could be different kinds of hats and everyone could vote on the one that best represents their personality and that would determine which hat(s) there would be most of on the rack. Maybe other hats on the floor.

If there was enough interest I bet we could present the idea to the Cards. This sounds like something they would go along with if the circumstances were right. You know, we could hold a design contest and the winning design could be put on a shirt that they could sell at the hatrack store. I know none of of here are thinking profit. It's the community idea that is appealing to us here and this is why I think it will also be appealing to the Cards. They are very nice people and really do care about the fans here at Hatrack.
And by the way I really like the Hat Rack idea with the various hats representing the various personalities.

There's the Endercon shirt. Lots of people have that one. Then there are the various army t-shirts. Rat Army and so on. There are Wenchcon t-shirts. I don't know if there's ever been one just for hatrack in general, though. I remember some of the P-webbers had one that said "The Enemy's Gate is Down".

"Hatrack... where all hats and their owners come together." "Hatrack... who doesn't need a place to hang their hat?" Okay, so I'm not good at this. But gimme some time.

I believe this has been done once a year, every year, since I started coming here. But no one's ever actually made a shirt.

I just don't want to let this die. I like the idea and think it is something we can definately get done. How many people would be interested in participating in a design contest?

I'd like to but I don't have photoshop or anything and wouldn't know how to use it even if I did. Maybe I can find another way to do this. :Goes off to think about it.:

good idea mack. Someone mentioned doing a contest (which I think is a great idea) to decide on a logo or something similar...and I'd love it if we could pick a good tagline though the thread seems to have died already.
I'm in for whatever anyone wants to try. Problem: I am neither clever nor artistic, so I must rely on all of you to come up with something of genius quality. You have my full support though.

I'd like to participate!! But don't count on me to come up with anything clever...

What about creating a design (or a series of designs) that fit on the 8-1/2" x 11" t-shirt iron-ons for ink jet printers and posting it (them) for anyone to personalize and use?

I still like my idea of doing a poll so people could pick out what kind of hat best represents their personality and then putting those hats on a hatrack. That way if most people said a dunce cap best suits them (and I'm not insinuating anything here) then there would be a couple of dunce caps on the hatrack. Any that people voted for that didn't get a lot of support or that don't fit on the rack can be on the floor around it or something. Unfortunately I don't know how to use any photo-editing programs or anything so I can't make it, but I still think it'd be cool.

Tanks! And yes, you're right, no quarrels about size, color, or style. Especially since there's not much chance a mass-produced one would fit me and be comfortable. I may do it anyway.

I've chosen about fifty, though, which are way too many to try to fit on a rack.
Edit: moose rack Its pretty clumsy, but I felt like having a bit of fun and put it together. There really aren't any good graphics of hat racks out there that I could find.
