I love a night sky. You know what I find amazing? I'm super-nearsighted and wear glasses to see. With my glasses on, I can perceive the photons from starlight that has traveled across millions of light-years, ending it's journey at my retina and stimulating my brain to say "stars!" But when I take off my glasses, that starlight suddenly loses it's focus and meaning and becomes nothingness. All in the tiny space between my cornea and my retina. The light has come all across the galaxy unimpeded only to be lost inside my eye.
