[whine]Man, I'm really bummed out, as is implied by the title. I went out today to buy The Crystal City at the new strip mall they built near us. A very nice mall, really, like a little village. With a brand new Barnes and Nobles.
So I go in, with the grand opening coupon I got in the mail. Y'know, I get a free chai with the coupon, snack on some Godiva chocolate(dang, but that stuff is good), listen to music on the extremely cool machines where you can hear any cd they have in the store, and grab a copy of the beautiful new book. Bought it at 35% off, go home, start to read, and nearly have a heart attack.
The binding was torn from the inside. There were missing pages. And it was all done in such a way that you couldn't find it if you didn't open it up and inspect it carefully. And I've never had reason to distrust Barnes and Nobles.
So now I have to find time to return it much later this week and exchange it because my schedule's packed until Thursday. And so I bought the book and gotta wait a whole week. [/whine]
I have no deep problems here, just a little bad thing that ruined a really good day. Come to think of it, I should have posted this in the hug thread. I desperately need a hug.

I ordered mine from Amazon. It's sitting in the mail room right now. Unfortunately the people in charge of the mail room never open on the weekends. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
But I wasn't planning on reading it until my train ride home for Thanksgiving, so I'm actually in a really good mood. Posts: 3852 | Registered: Feb 2002
