So, today I'm devoting my day to finishing up my project for the undergrad art show (which I will be accepted to this year!), and would like to petition Hatrack for input.
What I'm doing is "postcards from my subconscious" - photoshopped images of dreams I've had made into postcards. I'm going to frame them in a collage style, with some backs of postcards showing that I've written on.
How you can help me:
If you have any dreams that would make a good snapshot visual that you'd like to donate, I'll immortalize them for you. I've already got things like a produce aisle with a bin full of babies, girls on the beach who all have the same head, a panorama of our local mountains erupting, me as princess Leia, stuff like that.

Two nights ago, I dreamt I was in a small white car approaching the entrance to a toll road heading from here to Ohio. I knew I needed to get to the toll booth fast, so I was very anxious, and sure enough, the power went out two cars before we got through. So we had to sit there and wait as all the cars backed up because we couldn't get through when the power was out.
Finally we either were let through or snuck through ourselves, and found ourselves all alone on the vast expanse of the toll road. It was a little cold out, and there was some snow on the ground (but not on the light gray asphalt of the road). I decide that it would be more fun to sled to Ohio instead of drive, so we get out and start skidding westward on a three-person sled made out of tin.
That was when I realized there were three other people there: Mark, and a young couple we're friends with. But the guy was actually Kramer from Seinfeld. So me and the couple are skidding down the road on our sled, probably with sparks flying behind us, and having a great time. Suddenly I realize that Mark's not on the sled. He's slowly trudging behind us, carrying the bags. I felt horrible; I hadn't realized I'd left him out of the fun. So we sledded back to where he was and got back into the car to drive to Ohio, so that we could all have a good time.
Good luck with your project!

There's the dream from my landmark, which is make more interesting by my being almost bald.
My dream where Frodo and Gandalf are competing for my affections. It was one of a series of dream that my new house has a hidden studio in it somewhere.
I had one when I was a little girl about skiing on freeway overpasses with snoopy. A related end- of the world one involved us (me and Al Gore) needing to coat all the exposed steel on the nations highways. we made grave sized gaps in the roads and bridges to stop people from driving.
There's my culinary haruspex (thread title) dream, which could be me pulling a fresh, hot butterfly ballot out of the oven.
I dreamed Michelle Kwan won the bronze medal before I knew that had really happened. The dream was set in an Opera house style backstage, such as in Charade or Tomb Raider II (the game).
Let's see, oh, I dreamed once that I was being asked to bless the sacrament at church, which is a big no no in the LDS church, but I agreed to do it under protest.
It's too bad I don't know where my photos are, because I have a great visual of an olive grove at harvest time with a carpet of wild strawberries on the ground. It's very dreamlike. I'll see what I can do. There is also the mountain which we used to call Mt. Mickey because it had two huge satellite dishes on it.

Sounds like a great project. Here's a donation:
I'm sitting on a tall pole looking down at a stage below me. The base of my pole is not quite on stage but a little behind it to stage left. Three or four of my friends are performing a juggling act on the stage but they don't notice me (or the pole) and although there are bright stage lights there is no audience.

A tornado made of fire. No wait, that one scares me, I don't want to see it when I'm awake!
Hmmm, how about an upside down house? I've had dreams where my house is upside down, and we roller-skate on the ceilings.

I had a dream where I was in an empty wooden jurybox. The benches had worn-down spots from people sitting there over years, and there was a blue sky overhead. Everywhere, actually. And it wasn't like the jurybox was floating, there was nothing beneath it. At all. Not dark infinity, just, well, in that specialized dream way, nothing. I was being pursued by something, and I remember sitting in each different seat was like a gateway to somewhere else.
This was actually a dream I had several times, each time starting in the jurybox and fleeing through various places.

When I was little I used to dream that all of the fathers on my street were fire fighters and I had dreams that would include them putting out fires at different houses on my street. In one of them they were putting out a fire on the corner of my street and this dinosaur came down the other road (the one mine comes off of). Except that it looked more like a giant baby chick. Any way, it was looking for a place to lay its eggs so we all had to run. We start running away from it and we get to the end of the road where there's normally an intersection, except now we could only turn left and even then we're facing this room. I woke up when I realized that there was no way out. A couple of years after I had the dream I realized that the room was in the CCD center of my church. Odd.
I had a really confusing dream a year or so ago in which I changed back and forth throughout the dream between a character name Sioned from a series by Melanie Rawn and I think Bean. I was supposed to lead an army but some people didn't want me to do it because I'm a girl. I ended up getting distracted from that and was biking away from this big fat guy into a museum. I ran around trying not to get caught by him and at one point I ended up on a water slide. Then I left the museum with a group from my school and we got on the bus to go home from our field trip.

My latest dream was of me walking along an -enormous- tree trunk (big enough that 3 other people could have easily been walking with me) that had fallen down long ago. It was ever so slightly angled up and I was walking the long way up to a house that was built in it's branches. The forest was very alive and birds were singing. When I got to the house, it was completely empty and I sat on the floor and cried.

I've had so many dreams that hve come true, that it's not funny. It's terrifying.
I just made a scary connection about my first dream. That house actually did catch fire a couple of years after that dream, but I never really thought anything of that. But when it happened I was at CCD and my mom couldn't come get me because of the fire trucks. Because of this I was stuck at CCD until the CCD director could take me home.

Ok, let's see...dreams that have come true.
I had a dream where I went back in time to tell my Granddaddy to not start smoking because he was going to die. The dream was interrupted when my Mom woke me up to tell me that he had died.
Before we even knew whether my baby brother was going to be a girl or boy, I had a dream with him in it. He looked EXACTLY like he did when he was 2.
I dreamed that my 2 cats got catnapped, and for some reason, we only got one back. A while later we had to get rid of the one that didn't come back.
I had a dream that about somebody that I had never seen before. I met him the next day, and he looked EXACTLY the same.
I also had a dream about the "angel of death". Soon after, 2 relataves died.
So, when I have dreams about the end of the world, it scares the heck out of me. And my brother tells me that tornados made of fire do exist.

I had a dream that a white butterfly flew up and landed on my finger, and its wings had a powder blue graffiti-like tag on its arm that looked like my signature except that it said AI instead of AL.

I had a dream where I was fleeing(my dreams tend to involve lots of fleeing, yes) through a field and I had a dog with me. It was like one of those kinda terrier mutts, you know, the ones that are all scruffy, 'specially around the face. But it had four eyes. And they didn't make it look like a freak. It looked right.
Every time my brother's injured himself, I dream beforehand, usually by a few weeks, a dream where he gets the same injury, though in a different way.

I appropriated a few of your ideas, but nothing really verbatim, other than Ryuko's written-upon butterfly. ( )
I've got them all on my dinosaur of a website, and of course I forgot to resize before I uploaded, so if you're willing to wait for 11 huge pictures to load, you can take a look here.
Thanks for the input! It's highly appreciated, and I'm still working on more.

I have a recurring dream of walking down my super-long driveway and all the sudden I start floating as I walk, and with each step I get higher and higher. I get somewhat anxious about the power lines that run in front of my house, but I never hit them.
Once, in a dream I found a scrapbook full of X-ray photos like the kind they take at a doctor's visit. The pictures were all taken of the same thing, one after another, only seconds apart. The pictures were of what seemed to be a billowing cloud, or wind. As I turned the pages, it got closer and closer and something started to come out of the cloud. As the dream continued, suddenly I was not looking at pictures anymore, but at an image through an X-ray camera. The something that was coming out of the cloud was a skeleton. I took picture after picture, as fast as I could and the skeleton got closer and closer. I knew that if the skeleton so much as touched me, my soul would die, but I couldn't stop taking pictures. The skeleton reached out its hand and came even closer. I woke up when the skeletal hand was just about to touch me.
Thats the best I can come up with in the way of imagery. I've also had dreams that I think have fortold the future, but rarely about anything really important.
I woke up earlier than usual once from a dream I couldn't remember with a very uneasy feeling and I couldn't get back to sleep. When I turned on the news that morning I learned of the space shuttle tragedy. The time I woke up that morning was about the same time the shuttle's remains were hurtling over my area.
I once had a dream back when I was still in highschool where I was in the hospital on my deathbed. I felt an urgent need to call my best friend on the phone and tell her that I was dying. The next day at school, my friend came and told me about the strange dream she had where I called her on the phone and told her that I was dying.
I have many other examples. I try to make a point of remembering all my dreams from the night before I get up and then remembering them before I go to bed again. Dreams are great fun.

Ick...the first easily-described dream that comes to mind is less than pleasant.
I am frozen to some flat object--a bed, maybe, or a table--and I am drifting in the icy current of a sluggish, half-frozen river. The clouds are sleeting down on me, and I cannot move. This is because I am in hell.
I woke up from that one breathing very fast. I never seem to dream about heaven--only hell.
[Addit] Almost as freaky, maybe more.
I am on the street, a loop near where I lived several years ago. This is a lucid dream. Knowing that I am dreaming, I try to take control of the group of kids and teenagers walking down the street toward me. However, they ignore my efforts, and I begin to complain to them that they should do what I tell them.
One of them looks at me. "You can't tell us what to do! We're from outside."

I have a recurring dream where I'm walking down the sidewalk of an INSANELY populated city...but every time I touch someone, they dissolve into screaming ghost-like clouds.

Annie, if you want, I could put some of the pics up on my website until you get your geocities site back up, so those that missed their debut run can see them. (They do that stuff monthly don't they.) Just give me a buzz at larisse@nacrimosse.com .

Very cool pics, Annie. My fave is Yellowstone. The tiger in that setting is simply breathtaking.
The funniest one to me is the Wedding one. It's like someone hired Marge Simpson to do the wedding dos. The bride and flower girl escaped unha... I mean undyed.
