http://homepage.mac.com/fugu13/perception.pdf

The beginning of a philosophical thing I'm working on. I have more written, but its not been transcribed from paper yet (it takes a bit, as I do some editing along the way).

Be warned, its more than a tad wordy. Also be warned that if something I say sounds completely ridiculous, its likely not. While I could very well be wrong, I like to think I've put enough effort into it such that what I say isn't completely ridiculous. Tell me you think so anyways, because that means I wasn't clear enough as to what I meant.

Of course, please give me a reason if you do, because otherwise I might assume you're one of those silly people who are just telling me something is completely ridiculous because I told them not to.

Basically, the paper is the teensiest of beginnings of an investigation into the nature, manner, and consideration of perception by those who perceive.

Thought I'd throw it out as some people had been making noises about not enough serious discussion on hatrack [Smile] .

Oh, and even if you're a dialup user it shouldn't be too bad. The pdf is only 21.7 KB .

Damn. You closed that loophole right before I got there. [Frown]

I can't find any particular flaws thus far. I'm interested to see what conclusions you're going to draw, though.

saxon -- so am I, so am I.

Really, while I have some ideas as to the areas I will be taking the investigation, my conclusions about those areas are not as of yet particularly clearly formulated.

I'll have to reserve judgment until it's complete. But it's interesting so far, and coherent enough that I want to keep reading it. That's about as good a response you can expect from any introduction.

Please post the whole thing when you finish it.

I don't have any immediate quibbles with your definition of terms.
