Once you have a total, let me know how many on on what day I will be having visitors. I need to plan my food schedule. From what I understand I will have one van full on Saturday and one on Sunday?

Now Motel 6 has a limitation on 4 people per room. On the other hand we don't exactly have to inform them how many people we have either. I leave it to your ethical or unethical qualms to decide. I have no problem reserving either one or two rooms provided I get reimbursed at least partially.
I wish we could take OSC out to dinner afterwards but I'm sure he will be exhausted.

How many with blacwolve are under 17? we don't have to pay for you at Motel 6 ;-) The quote I'm getting for 2 queen beds and 4 people is $42 which isn't bad at all.

Hmmm, I may try to come to this one, though of the 4 in the area it's the third farthest from me, simply because it's on a friday. Though I can't really say I'll need to bunk up or anything. I'm too seat of the pants to plan for something like that (plus I'm not sure I really qualify for the opportunity, as none of you really know me at all, in any sense of the word). But I would like to catch up with you folks if I end up going there (do I write with too many qualifiers? ).
Unless there's a large contingent going to Lexington. I may be persuaded to go there instead (or like I said before, in addition to).

3 in my car, 1 under the age of seventeen, 1 seventeen. Is it going to mess up the totels if there's one more in my car? I was going to ask someone else, but I don't have to, it's no big deal.

No it won't mess them up with an extra person, the question is one room or two though and what do people prefer. If there aren't four people per rooom the price per person goes up a bit. I don't think it would go over $20/person though.
So the room cost with 6 people will be approximately $14 per person. Not too bad. I think I'm going to go ahead and get two rooms.
If we get 8 people we are down to $10.50 per person. Maybe this will make it more feasible for those of you who were contemplating coming but not sure due to financial issues.
So there are going to be 7 people at my place for lunch on Saturday then. What do you folks want for lunch? I can grill if you want, burgers and dogs, or I can do deli sandwiches and chips.

I'm a pretty hard guy to dislike. My disposition is more or less the same as it is here. Very reserved but always ready to chime in when I feel like I have something to contribute. And I like most people too, long as they're not too obnoxious.

Good news (see Celia I told you I'd post as soon as I knew). It is looking like I will be able to get the entire day off of work. And it will count as my "birthday" holiday (yeah my company gives birthday holidays but my birthday is on Christmas Day) so it won't count against my vacation!

Since I figure we will be down to Cincinnati by probably 3pm, (if I pick you guys up from Purdue at around 11am) Would you be opposed to possibly doing something else for a bit before the book signing?

Ok foodwise. If the weather holds at it current idea of mid-60's I will grill burgers and brats and dogs. I have some coal I can get rid of so that I can get fresh next year. I will have several types fo salad and pop to drink. How many people want burgers? Dogs? Brats?
If it is going to be colder I will probably do deli type sandwiches with ham and turkey and cheese and salads. Depending on the weather we will be eating on chairs set up on the drive way, or in the garage, or if it is really cold we will be inside.
Does some one have a digital camera? That way a picture can be taken and I will be included among the "real" Hatrackers.
If any one who is going to be stopping by for lunch has any special dietary needs please let me know.

I'm planning on taking our digital camera. I'll be happy to photoshop monkey heads over your face.
Burgers and brats both sound good to me. My only special dietary need is meat, and you have that covered.
Oh, AJ, I'll be pushing that leaving time a little. Even though I told my prof more than a month ago that I would be missing Friday's class, he's decided to make me present that day. I'm going first, so I should still be done by 11. Bill will be home in any case, so if you get to the house before me, you won't have to sit out in the cold.

Motel reservations have been made at the motel 6 I linked to above. I have confirmation numbers etc. I reserved one room for 4 people and the other for 3. I don't know how the numbers will actually work out. 4 people is $41.99 +tax and 3 people is $38.99 +tax. If we have a fourth person in the room we pay $3 extra and everything is cool.
blacwolve do you have a cell phone in your group? If so, e-mail me the # and I'll e-mail you my cell so we can keep in contact with each other that day.
