Yesterday I was in Paris with my sister, and a tourist (I think she was American after her accent, but I can be wrong) asked me to take a picture of her before Notre-Dame.
I had some difficulties to do so because I don’t know how to use these numeric cameras. But finally I did. When she left, I had the funny idea that this young woman could have been a Hatracker. It was strange, I suppose that many of you already though that they could cross a fellow Hatracker in the street without knowing it, but it was the first time I though so, because I don’t cross that much Americans usually. That made me laugh. Just though I could share it with you. [Smile]

I was thrown by the phrase "numeric camera" for a second, until I realized what it had to be. [Smile]

Yes, Anna, it was me! [Smile]

<Just kidding. When I come to Paris, I will let you know!>

I've thought about that, particularly in the days when people were reluctant to tell their real names online. How would you know? I always did tell mine, so I thought how cool it would be if at some jobsite in some other city I were introduced in a shift meeting and then someone said "Anne Kate Ard from HATRACK???" <laughs> It never happened, though, in six years so far.

Well AK, when you really want it to happen is when you sit down for a job interview. [Wink] [Big Grin]

I have this secret daydream that my roommate in college will turn out to be a hatracker, and we won't realize it until one of us sees the forum up on the other's computer.

I actually joined without telling twinky and he didn't know until he was living with me and saw me posting on Hatrack. Something like 3 or 4 months since I joined. Long enough to know who Bob the Lawyer was at any rate. I, of course, had NO idea who this "twinky" character was [Wink]

Given I know about 5 Americans in RL, I doubt that any of them are Hatrackers... but hey, it would be cool. [Smile]

Anna - I'm definately gonna email you about catching up when we're in Paris. Tony (Scythrop) and I were thinking of maybe coming to Lille for a day trip - is it worth doing?

If nothing else, I want you to show me where to buy the best cheese! [Smile]

I met a woman named Jenny Gardener but she didn't look like the pictures of Jenny at foobonic...

It's also kind of cool how I've run into Jatraqueros after the Boston Picnic. Saw Mike a few months ago at a circus festival and Paul Goldner and Parcival at the Flying Karamazov Brothers on Sunday. [Big Grin]
