Hrm when I saw this thread I thought of my uncle. As far as his children know the family beagles ran away. What actually happened was that he was out hunting and the dogs ran into a pack of wolves and were no more. I think he didn't have the heart to tell the kids.

That was the First Beagle.
Beagle_2_ got multiplely reflected&refracted through Martian Timeslip to become WWII foofighters as well as future haberdashery
